NJ DOT County Map Errors

These are from the 2009 New Jersey Department of Transportion county maps, available at www.nj.gov/transportation/gis/map.shtm.

Hudson:
-Hudson Bergen Light Rail north of Hoboken missing
-Former NJT/Erie Boonton Line (NS) intact between West End in Jersey City and WR bridge in Kearny, including DB Draw. DB Draw abandoned October 2002.
-Old Bergen Line ROW south of of HX Draw remains. No NJ Turnpike Interchange 15X (opened 12/1/05). Harmon Cove station and old Bergen Line abandoned 8/4/03.
-NS (Erie) Newark Branch active in East Newark and Kearny over NX Draw. Last freight service on NX Draw December 1977/January 1978.

Essex:
-CNJ runs into downtown Newark
-Ex-NJT Boonton missing between WR Draw and Montclair Connection
-Newark Light Rail Broad Street extension missing (opened 7/17/06)
-Erie/NS Orange Branch shown full length to West Orange. Currently ends at Hartz in Bloomfield
-Morristown & Erie Railway currently ends at Interstate 280 (B&G Foods) in Roseland, shows line up to Essex Fells

Bergen:
-NYSW freight tunnel in Fairview/Edgewater active
-At bottom of of Bergen map, in Secaucus, NJ Turnpike Interchange 15X is visible, however the old Bergen Line ROW also appears.

Passaic:
-Delawanna station (NJ Transit Main Line)misspelled "DELAWANA"
-Original Erie Main Line south of Interstate 80 (junction with NJT),shown abandoned. Currently used by NS as far south as Piaget Avenue/US Route 46.

Union:
-Entire Rahway Valley Railway active, as part of Conrail.
-NJT Union station missing

Morris:
-Erie Greenwood Lake Line between Pompton and Wayne show as active by NS. Abandoned by NYSW 1988, mostly converted to county park trail
-Morristown & Erie Railway Channel Lumber (Stony Brook) spur abandoned 1991
-Old Wharton & Northern active as far north as NJ Route 15 (Picatinny Arsenal)

Somerset:
-Connections from CSX West Trenton/RDG line to Federal GSA depot in Belle Mead
-Finderne station closed 10/27/06

Hunterdon:
-Lehigh Valley branch to Clinton active (abandoned 1970s?)
-Lehigh Valley branch to Flemington active
-Black River south of Ringoes out of service since 1998, still shown active

Middlesex:
-Lehigh Valley Perth Amboy spur from South Plainfield eastward abandoned (ROW gone in many parts)

Monmouth:
-Monmouth Park station shows the "Pony Express", or "Grandstand" spur siding closed in 2005. All service now uses the stop on the mainline.
-Just south of Monmouth Park, there appears to be an abandoned railway running east from Main Street in Oceanport to Long Branch Avenue in Long Branch. Possible interurban?
-Conrail (Freehold & Jamesburg) out of service between Freehold and Farmingdale.

Ocean:
-Conrail/CNJ Toms River branch currently ends along NJ Route 37, near the Ciba-Geigy crossing. Line into downtown Toms River closed 1973 and removed
-Ciba Geigy spur closed 1990
